This aircraft A79-614, a Mk35A, was a two seat trainer flown at 1 Applied Flight Training School (1AFTS) at RAAF Pearce, Western Australia.
The aircraft was posted to Pearce for the majority of its service life until it was scrapped in August 1971. The Wing was purchased by the Historic Aircraft Restoration Society (HARS) in Parkes, NSW where it was kept as a spare for Mk35A Vampire A79-637.
